Today, in honour of Madiba's birthday, we supported the Grassy Park Fisher Center by providing fresh fruit and vegetables for their meals. Approx 42 mentally and intellectually challenged adults call this much needed center home. They need your help, not only today, but on an ongoing basis. Any donations are welcome. A good way to offset your carbon footprint is to eat less meat. A report concluded by Jeff Anhang and Robert Goodland for World Watch found that livestock accounts for 51% of all Greenhouse Gases. That’s more than every form of transportation in the world combined. The reason for this is because two of
the gases livestock produce are Methane and Nitrous Oxide – which are 20 times and 296 times, respectively, more powerful in terms of global warming potential. Learn more about Meat Free Mondays by clicking on the link. What are you eating today?
